Students in Miss Bedard's Kindergarten have begun a new science unit -sink or float. To initiate the lesson, students made predictions about 7 different objects; which included a penny, paperclip, cork, sponge, pumpkin, apple, and a rock. With each of these objects, the students predicted whether they thought the object would sink or float. Then, students tested the objects and compared predictions.

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Joanne Gillen.  In addition to her 8th grade homeroom responsibilities, Mrs. Gillen teaches Middle School Language Arts & Honors Literature.  Mrs. Gillen has been invited to attend the Xavier High School's Teacher Recognition Breakfast on March 8th.  Xavier hosts this breakfast to honor teachers that have been nominated by past students for their dedication and commitment to education.  The breakfast will include a tour led by a former student and a recognition ceremony.  We are certainly proud of Mrs. Gillen's well deserved invitation to this event.
