We started our Puerto Rican trip in Old San Juan which is amazing. The history is rich, the colors are bold and pastries abound. We spent our days walking the old cobblestone streets, trying out different restaurants & wandering Castillo San Crisóbal.

We also spent a lovely afternoon at the rooftop pool at La Terrazzo de San Juan (the sister property to our airbnb). Amos loved the "mini" (infinity) pool, Solly and Ez napped in the shade and Mike and I wined with new friends (and I even got to sneak in an impromptu shoot of a couple of lovebirds!).

Our time here was short, so I'm glad we have a couple of days at the end of our trip to wander these old streets again, to breath in the salty air and to just be - lost in another time, in another country with my people.

Things I want to remember from this weekend:

walking to the new neighborhood pizza joint with our best buds
sneaking out to snag CFA for breaky with Solly & Ez Saturday AM
having every single door in the house open all weekend long
nailing down travel plans for "Quarter Rico"
snuggling baby Holden
making progress on the white house
showering my oldest best and her sweet new babe, della
Mikey reading Moose (and then me) to sleep on the front screened in porch Sunday PM

So many times this weekend Mikey & I stopped what we were doing to just soak it in. Being in our home, with the doors flung open, dancing in the (early) spring breezes. There's nothing better.

You three. I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again: you make me crazy and keep me sane at the same time. Our days are simple. I've loved being home in our white house with y'all lately. We're spending any warm days jumping on the trampoline and walking down to the "nature park" that's right up the street. We're having picnics and drawing ninja courses in the driveway. These are the best days, I'm sure of it.

My Mosie. You're incredibly smart. You love to learn. Right now you're into volcanoes, twisters, jumping on the trampoline, Ninja Warrior (always Ninja Warrior), and anything involving daddy. You can write the entire alphabet ("R" is my favorite), know characters on cartoons that I didn't now you knew, know mama's phone number (as does Solomon) and our address.

Solly, my sweet, sweet Solly. Two is my favorite age on you. You're sweet, fun, spunky, taking so well, into anything Mosie is into and the sweetest big brother. You're actually also a wonderful little brother - helping Mosie, whenever he asks you to get something for him. You're super content to be by yourself but also love to play with your brothers.

Ezra!! How are we a little over a month out from your first birthday!? You are the happiest baby around. You absolutely love Mosie and Solly. You wake up early with Solomon and are happy watching whatever show he chooses in the morning until Mama's had coffee. You're sleeping through the night for the most part (thank you child) and nap a couple of times a day. You love to be on the trampoline with the big boys & can hold your own when they get rowdy. You're a strong little guy.

#martinbandofbrothers I love you. Plain & simple. Thank you for making our ordinary life an adventure, every single day.

Things I want to remember from this weekend:

a sweet, intimate (surprise) shower for Whit & her newest babe, Charlotte, who'll be here so soon
Ez's poochy lips while napping on Mama's bed
Sollah-Roo rockin' daddy's Ray Bans, riding shotty
donuts for Sunday breaky (it's been a long time since we've done this!)
our best buds stopping by to help polish off the aforementioned donuts
my sweet Solly falling asleep (basically sitting up) on the beanbag after a full, rich weekend

I've been loving slower, more intentional weekends lately. We're snuggling in this home of ours, basking in the gloriousness of being here, all together. It took us a long time to get here (the house still has tons of work to be done) and we aren't taking it for granted for one minute.
