celebrate | eight

Last week we celebrated our EIGHTH anniversary, like we always do, with dinner at Stella's just the two of us. It's hard to believe that we've been married now for the better part of a decade (and together for a good bit longer than that)! We've had a year of rest, a year of travel, a year of being together. I'm excited for what's next for us, but this year is something I will forever treasure in my heart. 

Mikey, you're such a stud. I love doing this life alongside you. Thank you for making me feel like a queen...for constantly telling me (and showing me) how special and beautiful I am to you. I couldn't have known eight years ago what our promises would hold, but I am so thankful to still be fighting for each other and to be honoring those promises together. Thank you for choosing me as your bride that day and every day since. All my love, always!

celebrate | Cheers to 80 years!

Cheers to 80 years! We celebrated our sweet, precious Honey this past weekend with a surprise party for her 80th birthday! Much planning and thought went into this shindig and while Honey hates to be the center of attention, she was such a good sport. We spent the evening talking with family and friends, celebrating Honey and all that she is to all of us. What a joy to see everyone there for her, recognizing what a special lady she is, and to hear stories & recollections of memories of her from those who came.

Celebrate | Bennie's (surprise) 30th!

This has been the year of 30. We've celebrated with dinners and cake, lots of cake, surprises parties and gifts shared. We love every season with our village, but this next decade has already started with blessings of new babies (seriously, our group is having our own baby boom in twenty seventeen), new houses, traveling and slowing down for weekends together. 

Sweet Em planned a perfect surprise evening for her Bennie. We arrived early and mingled with friends & family until they arrived. We laughed as sweet Wren ran for what looked like a bear hug for the birthday boy & last minute swerved into Em's arms. We shared everyone's favorite sweet potato cake and stayed late for poetry and stories from the past several years. If this is what the next decade holds, I'll take a double serving.

I love looking back at Solly Mack & Moose's first birthday breakys - seeing how much has changed in such a sweet, short time for our family! (And noticing how bald Ez is! Eeeeek!)

Celebrate | Ezra turns one!!

we celebrated our sweet ezra's first birthday on sunday (3.19) with a party at our white house! haley (cakes to dye for) made a super cute naked smash cake + funfetti cupcakes with lemon buttercream (my new favorite combo) & we had homemade (thanks to honey) s'mores krispy treats, donut holes & a cheese, crackers & all things pickled plate. ez was spoiled by all of our friends & family who came to celebrate!

ez! this last year has absolutely flown by. you are a treasure, my littlest boy. i love your face eating smile, your contagious laugh and that you're rough and tough. you make us laugh daily and fit perfectly into our family. you're the sweetest baby and i sure do love being your mama!
